If you like the mod then try this, open the files in the mod and make a list of all the files so you can create duplicate copies of those same unmodded game files from your game so you can then mod them to make changes to the same correlating files from your game. There was another mod back then made by mush martin called uber boat I think, or something like that, and with that mod you could take on a task force while you were surfaced and sink the whole lot and survive (or maybe my memory exaggerates a little) but he got so much grief from "certain" members that he removed the mod and wouldn't even discuss it anymore which was a shame because even though some hate mods like that, sometimes its fun to play "God mode" and just blow stuff up like crazy. I suspect the problem to be that it was made for an earlier version of the game, maybe v1.3 or v1.4 before the v1.5 we all use today. It's for someone who just wants to sit down and find stuff and blow it up. You will need to locate all your SH4 directories in the SAME library.Well, that's kinda the point of the mod. You can use the Steam Client to Create a New Steam Library on a different drive. instead just using the original install directory from steam as my unplayed master copy to make new directories as needed. I would create a second directory and never play the original directory. you would start them by using the sh4.exe file inside the new directory and NOT starting them via the steam client app. If you create multiple copies of the game. make sure you download the MulitiSH4 by Potoroo, put the exe file in the 2nd directory and change the 3 character code from SH4 to something else to save player data for that game directory separately. ![]() If you create a second (or more) directories for megamods. Silent Hunters Wolves of the Pacific - GFOĭirectory you just created. for example, if you wanted to install THEBERBSTER megamod, I would rename the Copy to GFO.Īnd you would apply the mod files, as he describes in his post into the: I would change the Copy to a 3 digit code for the megamod you want to install. Silent Hunters Wolves of the Pacific - Copy You will end up 2 directories beside each other. and select the game folder in Windows Explorer, right click and copy. just go to the directory where your game is installed. You have to create the new directories inside the same steamapps folder as the original game. If you are using the Silent Hunter: Wolves of the Pacific U-Boat Missions (game version 1.5.0.0) then you CAN make multiple copies of the game. There are mods / programs that make use of multiple installs of the game and create more than one copy of the game. you can not install them on version 1.3.0 of the game.Ĥ.
